THEY DID ROLLS, BREAKOUTS AND LOOPS FOR AN AMAZING SHOW AS PART OF THE GRADUATION WEEK WEDNESDAY. THE BLUE ANGELS FLEW SIX NAVY F, A 18 SUPER HORNETS, GAVE. FULTON HAS BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS. IT’S REALLY SPECIAL FOR ME. I’VE BEEN HERE FOR YEARS AND YEAH, I’VE HAD A LOT OF FAMILY GO TO THE NAVAL ACADEMY AND IT JUST MEANS SO MUCH TO ME TO, UH, TO FOLLOW IN THEIR FOOTSTEPS. I’M GOING NAVY PILOT DOWN TO PENSACOLA FOR FLIGHT SCHOOL. HIS FATHER AND GRANDFATHER HAVE BOTH GRADUATED FROM THE NAVAL ACADEMY. WELL, I JUST LIKE TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO, WHAT THEY CAN DO WITH THE AIRPLANES. IT’S IT’S AMAZING WHEN THEY’RE IN, UH, WHEN THEY’RE IN REAL CLOSE. I GUESS THE DIAMOND FORMATION, THEY’RE THE PILOTS PERFORMED A VARIETY OF HIGH SPEED AND PRECISION MANEUVERS. WE ARE HAPPY TO BE IN MARYLAND FOR HIS GRADUATION, BUT. BUT TO SEE THE BLUE ANGELS IS SOMETHING SPECIAL WHILE WE’VE DONE IT. BECAUSE IT’S BEEN A WHILE. Three U.S. Naval Academy graduates were part of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels team that put on a show in the skies Wednesday afternoon over Annapolis.The Navy's elite flight squad is in town for the U.S. Naval Academy's Commissioning Week.The flight demonstration squadron's flying six Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet pilots perform high-speed, aerobatic and precision maneuvers, including the famous delta and diamond formations when the wings can be as close as 12 to 16 inches apart.This year, three Naval Academy graduates are part of the team, they include:No. 1 Cmdr. I'm always amazed every year how it gets louder, just the way they fly, it's just amazing," said George Slaughter.Pamela and John Payne came to Annapolis to see their son, Christian Payne, graduate from the Naval Academy on Friday as he heads to the Marine Corps."We brought him here from Louisiana during COVID and dropped him (off), and I had to search pictures to see if he was OK," Pamela Payne said."We're happy to be in Maryland for his graduation, but to see the Blue Angels, it's something special about that. It's been a wild week," John Payne said.Gabe Fulton is a graduate of and the son and grandson of Naval Academy graduates."It's really special for me. I've been he four years, and I've had a lot of family go to the Naval Academy, and it just means so much to me to follow in their footsteps. I'm going Navy pilot in Pensacola for Navy Flight School," Fulton said."I want to see what they can do what they can do in an airplane.
